Using UAWiFi.
What is UAWiFi?UAWiFi is a secure and fast wireless network that will eventually cover most of campus. Partially funded by the Student Technology Fee, it will bring roaming 802.11a/b/g wireless access for all students, staff and faculty on campus. UAWiFi is replacing older wireless technology currently used on campus. More information and a coverage map can be found at http://ccit.web.arizona.edu/index.php?id=wifiWhat do I need to use UAWiFi?You must have a valid UA NetID and a computer with an 802.11a/b/g wireless card that can handle WPA security. Most newer wireless cards support WPA security.How do I register for UAWiFi?You will need to register your NetID at https://netid.arizona.edu/wireless_reg.php.How do I setup my machine to use UAWiFi?If you have a Windows or Macintosh computer, refer to the links below. If you are running Linux, call the OSCR Underground Help Desk at 626-TECH (8324) for assistance.Who do I go to for help with UAWiFi?You can get help through OSCR's help desk, located in the OSCR Underground. Call 626-TECH (8324) to schedule an appointment, or stop by during walk-in hours. Limited support is available at OSCR computer labs and multimedia labs. The OSCR Help Forums are another source of help for UAWiFi.Is NAC still in effect on campus?No. NAC was discontinued during the summer of 2007.UAWiFi Documents and Links
