Gear-To-Go Center

The Gear-to-Go Center offers a variety of multimedia equipment including digital cameras, digital video cameras, lighting kits, tripods, microphones, audio gear, and more to students for educational purposes.

OSCR consultants at this location can assist with Gear-to-Go. We provide certification training, which allows you to check out our DV camcorders.

Services

Gear-To-Go Center Specific Policies

  1. To check out a digital video camera you must attend a DV Camera Checkout Certification.

  2. Equipment can be reserved up to two weeks in advance, and most gear can be checked out for a maximum of 2 days. Equipment is always due back by 3pm on the day it is due. For example, if the equipment is checked out on Monday at 10am, it will be due back on Wednesday no later than 3pm. If the equipment is checked out on 5pm on Wednesday, it will be due no later than Friday at 3pm. All Saturday checkouts must be returned at 3pm the following Monday.

    Clients must wait 48 hours after returning gear before they can reserve that type of gear again.

  3. Reservations can be made via phone or in person. We cannot accept reservations through email or voicemail. To reserve, call the Gear-To-Go Center at (520) 621-0GTG (0484), or stop by the GearToGo Center.

  4. Students must have Faculty Sponsorship to be authorized to check out our Gear-to-Go, and some of our equipment requires training prior to check out. If you are not yet Faculty Sponsored please see our sponsorship page for more information.

  5. Sponsorship requests can take up to 48 hours for OSCR to process. After that period it will be up to your individual sponsor to approve your request. Please direct your sponsor to http://www.oscr.arizona.edu/review_sponsorship to approve your request.

  6. Gear-to-Go equipment may not be used for for-pay use or taken outside of the United States of America.
