OSCR offers a variety of equipment (referred to as Gear-to-Go) that can be checked out by UA students for course projects. All OSCR equipment must be used for a learning endeavor that does not involve for-pay work. Most of the equipment is checked out through the Multimedia Learning Lab, but some gear is also available for checkout in the Virtual Reality Annex.

Gear-to-Go Policies

  1. Equipment can be reserved up to two weeks in advance, and most gear can be checked out for a maximum of 2 days. Equipment is always due back by 3pm on the day it is due. For example, if the equipment is checked out on Monday at 10am, it will be due back on Wednesday no later than 3pm. If the equipment is checked out on 5pm on Wednesday, it will be due no later than Friday at 3pm. All Saturday checkouts must be returned at 3pm the following Monday.

    Clients must wait 48 hours after returning gear before they can reserve that type of gear again.

  2. Reservations can be made via phone or in person. We cannot accept reservations through email or voicemail.

  3. Students must have Faculty Sponsorship to be authorized to check out our Gear-to-Go, and some of our equipment requires training prior to check out. If you are not yet Faculty Sponsored please see our sponsorship page for more information.

  4. Sponsorship requests can take up to 48 hours for OSCR to process. After that period it will be up to your individual sponsor to approve your request. Please direct your sponsor to http://www.oscr.arizona.edu/faculty_sponsor to approve your request.

  5. Gear-to-Go equipment can not be taken outside of the United States of America.
