High-definition recording: Capture your surroundings in true 1080 high-definition resolution video. The 16:9 format gives you professional, top-quality video. This camcorder also has a standard definition option for viewing on non-HD equipment.
CMOS technology: The HV20 has a CMOS chips allow for more precise image processing which means that individual pixels can be targeted for correction rather than the entire image, which is how most CCDs work.
Canon’s HV20 comes with a high-definition video lens with 10x optical zoom. It's the lens you need to record long shots and has five pre-set zoom speeds for smooth, steady zoom shots.
Digital stills: With 2.96-megapixel digital still capability, you can capture brilliant photographs onto a mini SD card and there’s no need to dig into your bag for your other camera, just point and shoot.
