High-definition recording: Capture your surroundings in true 1080 high-definition resolution video. The 16:9 format gives you professional, top-quality video. This camcorder also has a standard definition option for viewing on non-HD equipment. CMOS technology: The HV20 has a CMOS chips allow for more precise image processing which means that individual pixels can be targeted for correction rather than the entire image, which is how most CCDs work. Canon’s HV20 comes with a high-definition video lens with 10x optical zoom. It's the lens you need to record long shots and has five pre-set zoom speeds for smooth, steady zoom shots. Digital stills: With 2.96-megapixel digital still capability, you can capture brilliant photographs onto a mini SD card and there’s no need to dig into your bag for your other camera, just point and shoot. You can also record digital stills while recording to capture the exact moment you want from your video.

  • Gear-to-go is available through the Gear to Go Center.
  • Students must have Faculty Sponsorship to be authorized to check out our Gear-to-Go, and some of our equipment requires training prior to check out. If you are not yet Faculty Sponsored visit our sponsorship page.
  • Equipment can be reserved up to two weeks in advance, and most gear can be checked out for a maximum of 2 days. Equipment is always due back by 3pm on the day it is due. For example, if the equipment is checked out on Monday at 10am, it will be due back on Wednesday no later than 3pm. If the equipment is checked out on 5pm on Wednesday, it will be due no later than Friday at 3pm. All Saturday checkouts must be returned at 3pm the following Monday.
