The Glidecam Body-pod is a lightweight, rigid support system which, when used with either the Glidecam 2000 Pro, or 4000 Pro hand-held stabilizers, allows all the weight of the system to be supported by your body. The Body-pod allows you to shoot in cushioned comfort for indefinite periods of time. It takes the stabilizer's weight out of your hands and arms and displaces the weight onto your waist and shoulders. Stress and fatigue are virtually eliminated, allowing you the freedom to shoot events that require uninterrupted shooting.

This is a PRO GEAR device and as such requires special permission to reserve and checkout. This permission is obtained from the Multimedia Supervisor and will require justification of need for this quality of device.   • UA students can check out gear-to-go for course projects.
  • Gear-to-go is available through the Gear to Go Center.
  • Students must have Faculty Sponsorship to be authorized to check out our Gear-to-Go, and some of our equipment requires training prior to check out. If you are not yet Faculty Sponsored visit our sponsorship page.
  • Equipment can be reserved up to two weeks in advance, and most gear can be checked out for a maximum of 2 days. Equipment is always due back by 3pm on the day it is due. For example, if the equipment is checked out on Monday at 10am, it will be due back on Wednesday no later than 3pm. If the equipment is checked out on 5pm on Wednesday, it will be due no later than Friday at 3pm. All Saturday checkouts must be returned at 3pm the following Monday.
  • Reservations can be made via phone or in person.
