Quantity: 10

Maximum Checkout Duration: 2 days

The iPod recording kit enables you to make generalized recordings using either the included "stereo" microphone (two built-in high-quality omnidirectional microphones) or a plug-in lapel microphone. It records to either 22.05kHz mono or 44.1kHz stereo, 16-bit .wav files. It is useful for recording interviews, field recording, recording sound effects, or recording sound sources next to which you can place the iPod and microphone. Note that it's not a good choice for multi-track recording, professional quality recording of concerts, or other such high-end recording projects.

Our iPod recording kits are equipped with the following:

  • an iPod nano
  • a Belkin TuneTalk stereo microphone which plugs into the bottom of the nano
  • a lapel microphone that can plug in to the TuneTalk to replace it's built-in mic
  • a pair of mini headphones
  • cables for downloading the recorded audio to a computer, and
  • freeware and instructions which enable you to convert the recorded .wav files to .mp3 files on Windows or Mac OSX computers
