Technical Support Assistant Salary Range: $6.75 - $9.00 hourly Technical Support Assistants (TSA) are the first point of contact for the campus community within the Office of Student Computing Resources. TSAs provide administrative support to the OSCR Help Desk, including appointment scheduling and client management. TSAs handle client phone calls, setup appointments, manage client traffic, and provide basic technical support. If you have basic computer knowledge in Windows and/or Macintosh with at least one year of experience, advanced use of Microsoft Office, good verbal and written communication skills, and the desire to work in a fun and exciting atmosphere, apply now! Computer Lab Consultant Salary Range: $6.75 - $9.00 hourly Computer Lab Consultants (CLC) practice their computer skills and learn new ones by assisting University of Arizona students, staff and faculty in using the equipment and software available at our four General Computer Lab locations on campus. Consultants answer questions about Microsoft Office applications, SFTP, SSH and web browsers. In addition CLCs provide assistance to students, staff and faculty by demonstrating how to register their laptop for campus Internet access and providing referrals for helpdesk services. If you have two years experience using Windows or Macintosh hardware/software , the Microsoft Office suite, and familiarity with the file transfer protocols such as SFTP and SSH, along with good verbal and written communication skills, then OSCR is looking for an energetic and responsible individual like you to be a Computer Lab Consultant. Multimedia Consultant Salary Range: $7.50 - $10.00 hourly Multimedia Consultants (MC) provide technical support and client referrals in OSCR's multimedia labs and classrooms. MCs also provide in-depth consultation for clients on project development, act as the first line of support for troubleshooting technical problems on a variety of multimedia applications, and teach multimedia workshops one-on-one or in groups of 10 or more. As a consultant you will be given the responsibility of opening and closing facilities following service location-specific procedures, you will be expected to increase your knowledge of multimedia software and your interpersonal client assistance skills. If you have good customer service skills, a baseline set of technical skills with various operating systems, at least one area of multimedia specialty, and good verbal and written communication skills, you could be our next Multimedia Consultant! Operational Lead Salary Range: $8.00 - $12.00 hourly Operational Leads (OL) practice leadership, supervisory and management skills by acting as student supervisors. OSCR fulltime employees (FTEs) work closely with OLs to enable them to coach and train student staff on customer support methods, student staff policies, location policies, and equipment and facility maintenance procedures. Students in this position also act as advocates between student staff and FTEs by keeping track of OSCR student staff resources, technology and training needs necessary to fulfill their job. OLs need to have excellent customer service, leadership and troubleshooting skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excellent Internet research skills, at least two years experience using Windows or Macintosh hardware/software, basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. OLs must also be available 10 days immediately following Spring semester for leadership training. It would also be helpful if you have held a valid United States drivers license for the past two years. Technical Lead Salary Range: $8.00 - $12.00 hourly Technical Leads (TL) provide in-depth support for technical problems and projects in a variety of locations on campus including the Manuel Pacheco Integrated Learning Center (ILC) and (OSCR's) labs and classrooms. TLs staff OSCR's help desk in the ILC and mobile help desk in the residence halls, providing hardware and software assistance to UA students, faculty and staff. TLs also assist OSCR's technical staff with system administration tasks and computer troubleshooting and problem resolution. Tls should have extensive experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems, expertise dealing with virus and spyware problems, advanced knowledge of computer hardware and networking components, the ability to troubleshoot and support a wide-range of software applications, and the desire to work in a cool and exciting place. It would also be really helpful if you have held a valid United States drivers license for the past two years. Webmaster Salary Range: $8.00 - $12.00 hourly Webmasters are responsible for OSCR's web presence. This includes the creation and maintenance of database-driven dynamic content and tools, such as a reservation system and calendar. Some of the web sites developed and maintained by OSCR webmasters include the MLL, OSCR and an internal site filled with tools used by the OSCR staff. Webmaster's have great flexibility in setting work schedules around your availability. If you have experience with HTML, CSS, template engines, object-oriented programming, source code control and relational databases, then OSCR wants you to join our development team. Programmer Salary Range: $8.00 - $15.00 hourly OSCR programmers work on designing software using object-oriented design principals. As senior members of the development team, programmers act as mentors to the OSCR webmasters. Just like the webmasters, programmers have great flexibility in setting work schedules around your availability. Programmers should have demonstrable expertise with PHP and MySQL. If you have extensive experience with HTML, CSS, template engines, object-oriented programming and relational databases, then apply for a job as an OSCR programmer. |
