Student Technology Preceptor Program

Student Information and Requirements

Students participating in the STP program receive upper division academic credit. Students will attend mandatory class sessions, complete individually-assigned training modules, and work on a real-world project.

There are three types of preceptorships available to students:

Faculty Class Preceptor
* Enroll in UNVR397W
* Attend Class Sessions
* Complete all assigned training modules and assignments
* Work for a faculty member to support their class (approximately 100 hours)
* Present your preceptor project at the end of semester event

Technology Center Preceptor
* Enroll in UNVR397C for 2 semesters (credit is received at end of second semester)
* Attend Class Sessions
* Complete all assigned training modules and assignments
* Work for a supervisor at an instructional technology center
* Present your preceptor project at the end of semester event
* Enroll for an optional third semester

Teaching Teams Graduate Assistant Training Workshop
* Enroll in UNVR597A
* Attend Class Sessions
* Complete all assigned training modules and assignments
* Work for a faculty member or supervisor at an instructional technology center
* Present your preceptor project at the end of semester event

Classes will be held Tuesdays, 4 to 6:30 pm, beginning August 25th, at CC 311 (Computer Center). Check the schedule for exact dates.
