Excel gives many ways to display numeric data such as in a grid which can be formatted as a table to organize and professionally display the information. Excel allows a user to change the color or font of data to add emphasize, make labels bold to set them apart from the body of data in the worksheets, or add graphics. Totals and subtotals are available to summarize your data, making it easier to compare values for entire categories of data. Additionally, excel can present numeric information in charts. Charts and graphs can assist to visually summarize information for an audience. By presenting the data this way, it is much easier to identify patterns and relationships at a glance.
