My piece of the puzzle
My biggest piece of the puzzle is managing access, quotas, and backup of OSCR's various file servers. I am also part of the UITS web team working on various back-end tools to help keep OSCR's operations running smooth. My last big piece of the UITS puzzle is maintaining the Windows Vista computers in OSCR's Multimedia labs, including dual booting the Macs.

Background
I'm a Tucson native who studied engineering here at the UofA for a couple of years before the lack of practical applicability in formal education drove the last bit of interest I had in classes out of me. I spent a few years in the "real world" doing IT support for a small research firm discovering the wonderful array of oders and stains involved in materials engineering before coming back to the U to do desktop & server support for the now defunct Arizona International College. My supervisor was able to arrange a transfer for myself and some of our student workers to OSCR when AIC was closed down and I've been here since.
