OSCR We Have Streaming Media Server

Streaming Media

OSCR offers a QuickTime Streaming Media Server to the UA campus. This could be audio or video content that is either pre-recorded or live. Streaming media offers more options for both the content owners and the viewers. Features such as skip ahead, variable sized files for users on different speed connections, and the fact that the video file is not actually downloaded and saved to the local computer are some of the features of streaming media. Live broadcasts of video or audio are also possible with streaming services.

Anyone affiliated with the University of Arizona may use the Streaming Media Services

People interested in using OSCR's streaming services should contact the Multimedia Services Team, and someone will contact you to coordinate the service.

With a decent network connection, streaming services can be offered to anyone in the world.
